This testing kit enables compliance with the regulatory framework for indoor air quality (IAQ) monitoring in establishments open to the public (ERP) through self-assessment, as described in the “Guide to ImplementingRegulatory Monitoring of Indoor Air Quality in Certain Public-Access Facilities ” published by the Ministry of the Environment and available on theGOVERNMENT website.

Certified as compliant with INERIS specifications for conducting measurement campaigns for benzene and formaldehyde in the indoor air of public access facilities (ref. DSC-16-157193-11660, https://kits.qai-ecoles-creches.fr/ ), this kit enables users to independently conduct indicative measurement campaigns, particularly in daycare centers, preschools, elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, and after-school programs. Do you want to monitor the air quality in a public building in accordance with the decree on indoor air quality?

This self-testing kit allows you to perform these measurements easily and independently: no external assistance is required. By placing one or more sensors in the room to be tested, you’ll obtain an accurate measurement of benzene and/or formaldehyde concentrations, along with an interpretation based on current reference values.

You can also measure_CO₂ levels by renting a Class’Air sensor.

Please note! This analysis kit is intended for facilities that have completed their self-assessment in accordance with Volume 3 of the CEREMA guide.

It applies to the following facilities:

• Childcare facilities for children under 6 years of age, namely daycare centers, drop-in daycare centers, kindergartens, and Relais Petite Enfance (formerly RAM) (private homes of child care providers are not included), whether public or private;
• after-school or extracurricular recreation centers for minors, whether public or private;
• primary and secondary schools and vocational training institutions, namely preschools, elementary schools, middle schools, and high schools offering general, technical, or vocational education, whether public or private; 
• social and medical-social facilities affiliated with healthcare institutions, as well as the long-term care facilities within these institutions;
• • certain medical-social institutions and services provided for in the Social Action and Families Code;
• specialized juvenile detention facilities, juvenile wings within certain correctional facilities (detention centers, prisons, or day-release centers), or units designated for the care of minors.

• Benzene: Benzene is an aromatic hydrocarbon produced by the incomplete combustion of carbon-rich compounds. Volatile at room temperature, it comes mainly from industrial activities, vehicle traffic (exhaust fumes), the combustion of fossil fuels and organic materials (internal combustion engines, wood heating, smoking, etc.). The presence of benzene in indoor air poses a health risk, as this pollutant is classified by the IARC as a Group 1 carcinogen.
  For each monitoring campaign, an outdoor benzene measurement is recommended if an indoor benzene measurement is conducted within the building.

• Formaldehyde (or formol): Formaldehyde is a volatile chemical at room temperature. Found in 100% of indoor environments, it comes primarily from furniture (particleboard), adhesives, construction and renovation materials (paints), household products, and the combustion of fossil fuels and organic matter. The presence of formaldehyde in indoor air poses a health risk, as this pollutant is classified by the IARC as a Group 1 carcinogen.

Everything is included in your testing kit:

• One or two single-use passive sampling devices(depending on the version):
  • A Radiello sensor ( code 130 ) for measuring benzene;
  • An SKC UMEx-100 badge for measuring formaldehyde;
• Detailed instructions to guide you step by step through the process.
• A sampling form to help us interpret your results.
• A return envelope or a prepaid return label for sending your samples to the laboratory (from mainland France only).
• Analysis of your samples using chemical desorption and chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry.
• And a detailed analysis report interpreted in accordance with current regulations.

Your report will be emailed to you within 10 business days of receiving your samples (this timeframe is reduced to 5 days if you select the “express” option).
You will receive a comprehensive, personalized, and interpreted analysis report detailing your results, providing precise and exhaustive information on the detected pollutants, and offering recommendations to improve the indoor air quality of your public building. Your analysis report is designed to allow you to quickly view the test results and determine the pollution level for each measured pollutant, along with a compliance assessment against current reference values.
